How to realize bright surface cutting of laser cutting machine

In the process technology of laser cutting machine, the section of carbon steel can be cut very smooth to achieve the effect of “mirror”, commonly known as “bright surface cutting”. Bright surface cutting is mainly used for medium thickness carbon steel, too thin or too thick steel plate can not achieve bright surface cutting.

How to cut bright surface?

First, the cutting speed should be controlled. Too fast cutting speed will lead to incomplete material burning and the workpiece cannot be cut through. Too slow cutting speed will lead to excessive burning and the workpiece will melt and deform. The cutting speed should be increased as much as possible on the premise of ensuring the workpiece to be cut.2. Once a week, use a vacuum cleaner to remove the dust and dirt in the machine, and all electrical cabinets should be closed to prevent dust.

Second, adjust the nozzle height. The nozzle height will affect the beam quality, oxygen purity and gas flow direction. When the nozzle is lower, the beam quality is better, the oxygen purity is higher, and the gas flow direction is smaller. Therefore, the cutting height of bright surface should be adjusted as low as possible.

Third, adjust the cutting air pressure. When cutting carbon steel with oxygen, the combustion of the material will release a lot of heat, so the oxygen pressure should not be too high. Generally speaking, the lower the air pressure in the cutting range, the brighter the cutting section. However, in order to ensure the cutting stability, a certain proportion will be increased on the basis of the cutting air pressure.

Fourth, adjust the cutting power. For plates of different thickness, the greater the thickness, the higher the power required.

Fifth, adjust the size of the cutting focus. The beam emitted from the nozzle of fiber laser has a certain diameter. When cutting on the bright side, the nozzle is usually smaller. If the focus is too large, it will lead to hot nozzle, affect the cutting quality and stability, or even directly lead to nozzle damage. Therefore, it is necessary to find out the maximum focus value that the nozzle size can bear, and then adjust it.

Sixth, choose the nozzle size. The smaller the half nozzle is, the brighter the cut section is and the better the effect is.
